Hi I’m Sharon Beattie

CHARTERED PSYCHOLOGIST, Director (BA, MSc, CPsychol, CSci, AFBPsS)

I trained and qualified as a psychologist and worked for over 15 years as a police psychologist.

Supporting the organisations with psychological solutions in the areas of public protection (domestic violence, child protection, vulnerable adults and missing persons, adult safeguarding); custody healthcare provision; reducing offending in partnership (IOM); youth issues and offender health (screening of communication difficulties in offenders).

I then became the Director of the Children’s Safeguarding Board NI followed by the appointment as the Independent Chair of the Adult and Children’s Safeguarding Board in Bury.

I used this experience and training to harass my skills as an expert witness to undertake independent assessments and write reports for the courts relating to children and adults.

 

A modern approach

I have completed over 100 expert witness and psychological assessments and reports for the family, criminal and civil courts. This includes psychological assessments in the areas of child protection, safeguarding, cognitive functioning, parenting capacity, risk assessments, pre-sentencing reports, personality assessments, ASD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, AD(H)D and other neurological / developmental differences, attachment, domestic violence, sexual offences and substance abuse to name a few

I’m a Chartered Psychologist, Associate Fellow and Chartered Scientist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a Pracitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Also, I’m a member of the special groups in Coaching Psychology and Psychology and Social Care.

I provide expert solutions to address specific solutions for the organisations I work for, enabling them to be make decisions on the basis of my analysis.
